Shades Of Johnny McEvoy 3 CD Set, a massive 57 tracks over three CDs.
At this moment in time, on a beautiful afternoon in June, I am listening to some old recordings of mine, songs I have sung down through the years, songs that have travelled the roads with me.
I am happy to say they all bring back fond memories of a golden time, of a time when life seemed a lot simpler and songs more beautiful and more meaningful, a time when a songs words were listened to and a melody was easy to hum.
Sometimes in moments of reflection, I think of all the places I have sung in and wonder does my voice still echo within their walls and the people I sang to, do the songs still linger in their memory as they do in mine.
But now the dance floors are empty and the cabaret is closed and its time for new songs, new stories and new shoes, but that’s another days work. In the meantime I know you will enjoy listening to this album of oldies.
